I live in what "city people" call the country. I talk with a country twang, and I wear John Deere boots at least once a week. I teach children who come to school in camo, work boots, and overalls. I wouldn't have it any other way. My family is countrified. My children get to wake each morning and look out their windows and see acre after acre of beautiful rolling hills and fields (not really...we do live on a farm, but one child's bedroom faces the highway, one child's windows looks straight in to a tree, and one child's bedroom is technically in the basement, so she doesn't own a window, but you get my point). Our garage is full of pink and brown BB guns, pellet guns, boots of every kind, a dog bed with our blessed Hooch lazily sleeping, and of course, a race car...we will get to the race car in a moment. My point is...I am country. But that will never stop me from wearing my beloved beautiful high heels on a daily basis.
I do everything better in heels, and I have acquired quit a collection. Red, hot pink, leopard, snow leopard, black (many many), camel, and on and on. Each day is a new adventure for my heels. Where will she take me today? What will we get to see? Please pick me!!!! As often as possible, and by that I mean every day except the "spirit days" at school when I am forced to wear a sweatshirt of some sort sporting team spirit, I wear heels to school. My love of heels started when I discovered in high school that there just just no hope...I was going to be short. 5'4" since 6th grade.
My love turned in to obsession after the birth of my first child. I discovered that my once slender sleek runner legs were no longer slender and sleek, but rather dimpled and pudgy. Heels made me feel slimmer, so of course I bought every pair that fit and there was no going back. Do my feet hurt? Duh. And before anyone even starts, I'll clear it all up now. I don't care that my grandmother had to have surgery on her feet because she wore heels; I don't care that I appear to be growing a sixth toe that Jimbo ( my man...more on him later) enjoys pointing out; and I don't care that some day I may be wearing Easy Spirits...today I am wearing BCBG beautiful black 3" patent leather pointed toe heels and they look fabulous.
I would like to add as a side note my legs are not dimpled and pudgy anymore....just sayin. I mean nothing against dimples or pudge, I have plenty of it...just not on my legs.
Heels make me happy, and I love love love them. End of discussion.

Nude heels make short legs appear longer. You need a pair of patent nude ones for spring/summer.
